About Georgia in Wroclaw

Wrocław – Batumi,
Lower Silesia – Adjara

Wrocław is the first Polish city to host a Georgian consulate. This is no coincidence; the capital of Lower Silesia and the region have had friendly relations with Georgia for years. I was very keen for Wrocław and Batumi to be partner cities, and it has been achieved. On July 17, 2019, at the Alphabetic Tower in Batumi, Wrocław Mayor Jacek Sutryk and Batumi Mayor Lasha Komakhidze signed an agreement. This is a continuation of the cooperation that Lower Silesia has had with the Adjara region since 2016. Georgian Tamara Loladze emphasizes that more such events are needed. "Children learn about other countries, which is very important. Wrocław is open to others, I see great respect for us, and I found my place here easily," she says.
